The Myrovlytis Trust are delighted to announce we have been accepted as a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities (AMRC).
AMRC membership is the hallmark of quality research funding, and we are proud to meet their membership criteria which includes publishing a research strategy, a formal conflicts of interest policy and following the robust guidance on peer review. You can view our grant evaluation procedure here.
As we approach the deadline for applications for project grants, we are committed to being as transparent in our grant funding as possible and we are looking forward to publishing details of our funded grants in the near future.
As a member of the AMRC, funding we award is eligible for the Charity Research Support Fund. This means that in England, the government adds up to 19p to every charity pound invested in universities and enables us to fund only the direct costs of research. A similar scheme also exists for covering ‘direct’ costs of clinical research in the NHS. Additionally, all researchers funded by the Myrovlytis Trust can publish their work on the AMRC Open Research platform.
You can find out more about the AMRC and member benefits on their website.
